SugarOak is managing PODS franchises in Toronto, Ontario; Vancouver, British Columbia and Oahu and Maui, Hawaii for three investor groups.
Toronto
The Toronto franchise started operations in August 2006. With four storage facilities and coverage of the entire Greater Toronto Area (over 6 million people), it is the largest franchisee-owned market in the PODS system.
Hawaii
With locations in Oahu and Maui, this franchise opened operations in June 2007. It encompasses approximately 1.1 million people.
Vancouver
The Vancouver franchise, purchased in May 2008 encompasses roughly 2 million people. Ownership rights to Vancouver Island add an additional 750,000 people. |

Founded in 1998 and headquartered in Clearwater, Florida, PODS is the leading provider of portable storage and moving solutions for residential and business customers.
PODS has 170 locations in the United States, Australia and Canada, consisting of 16 company-owned and 154 franchise locations. The company delivers its specially designed storage containers to the customer’s location, which can be loaded at their convenience. Once packing is finished, PODS can deliver to a new location or store the container in their warehouse, until arrangements for a final delivery are made. PODS containers are moved by trucks that are equipped with the Podzilla®, a patented hydraulic lift system, designed to keep contents from shifting when loaded onto the truck.
PODS provides service to a population of over 230 million consumers and businesses in the U.S., Canada and Australia. More than 1 million reservations have been completed and there are over 150,000 PODS brand containers in service. PODS has performed over 200,000 long-distance moves. |
